LGL Christmas Party 2013

December 7, 2013 LGL had their Christmas party for shareholders. Many participated in the toy and food drive and it made the beautiful Christmas tree look like a typical tree in a home with children and love. The packages were wrapped in pretty paper and bows and the lights twinkled like stars. All the decorations were done by ladies on the lake and looked amazing. There were poinsettias, Santa's, stuffed animals and more gracing the tables and adding to the festive spirit.
The party started with our president, Ms.Hazel, welcoming everyone to the party and laying out the order of festivities. Prayer was given in thanks for the food and fellowship.
We were also blessed with the surprise attendance of Hunter Daniels accompanied by his mom, Carla, and his sister, Ambur. This was Hunter's first trip outside of his home since his accident earlier this year. He was walking with the aide of crutches and had a smile for everyone. We all gave thanks for his miraculous recovery and continue to pray for his healing.
After everyone enjoyed a meal of turkey, dressing, various side dishes and dessert, the attendees were invited to play a "white elephant" game. Those that brought a wrapped gift were given a number and each had an opportunity to select a gift or swap with someone who had a gift that they wanted. Hilarious fun ensued as people "stole" others gifts or got a surprise opening another.
After the game, we sang Christmas carols. The many voices rang pure inside the pavilion walls. It was a time of sharing our love for this holiday season. It also made for some funny moments as well. Watch the video attached and you can hear the beautiful voices as well as see some funny moments.
The night ended with well wishes for the coming Christmas holiday with family and friends.
The LGL members send a great big thank you to all who participated, organized and decorated. It was a fun night for all.
