Happy New Year's!!
I am hoping that everyone had a safe and happy New Year's Eve and has already settled in to our new year. Have you made any New Year's Resolutions? I always do and then break them before the week is out! This year I hope to make it at least through the first month. :)
One of my resolutions for this year is to write daily in my journal. Did anyone in your family do this? What kind of differences would you notice in your writings from the past and today? Name a way you have changed. My mom wasn't much of a writer but I often think about how cool it would have been to look back through her life through the voice of her as a young wife, mother and now grandmother. This thought prompted the ideal that I should be more consistent with writing in mine. Right now my journals look just like me-spastic, all over the place and often hard to find!
My second resolution is to read the through this year. I have done this before but it has been a while. An added bonus is that my Kindle will read out loud to me. Now, if I can't accomplish this resolution with a read-along Bible I'm in trouble. Speaking of reading, don't forget that we have a rather nice-sized library in the clubhouse. I just borrowed my first books at our Christmas party. If you haven't read Franicine Rivers and her book Lineage of Grace, you are missing out. Go grab a book, make some tea or coffee and settle in for an unique look into four women from the Bible and how their lives affected the lineage of Christ.
What are your resolutions? Predict how long you will last. Take all my questions and comments and please comment back. Take an active role in our small, online community.
Have a great year in 2014!
*Piece of trivia* If you have a calendar from 1986, you can use it right now. All the dates are exactly the same!
